Gautam Budddha ガウタマ・シッダー

ブッダ（サンスクリット語: बुद्ध, buddha）は、「悟った人」を意味する釈迦の尊称であり、漢訳は仏陀、旧字体では佛陀である。「仏教」という名称や「仏像」などの呼称はこの尊称に由来する。他方で、タターガタ（サンスクリット語: तथागत, tathāgata）は、「そのように行きし者」を意味する釈迦の尊称であり、漢訳は音写の多陀阿伽度と意訳の如来があり、釈迦如来ともいう。バーガヴァーン（英語版）（サンスクリット語: भगवान्, Bhagavān）は「この世で最も尊い」を意味する釈迦の尊称で、漢訳は世尊である。
